Hi! My name is Treesong. I’m the founder and editor of Climate Change Books. This reading list features my Top Ten Climate Fiction Reads.
Who am I? I’m a climate fiction author and climate communicator. So far, I’ve published three climate fiction novels, one climate fiction short story collection, and one climate poetry collection. I’m currently working on two more climate fiction novels that I plan to publish later this year.
I also love reading climate fiction! I’ve read dozens of climate fiction novels and short story collections. Some have been amazing. Others have been less than stellar. All of them have contributed in some way to my understanding of the place of climate change in modern literature.
As the editor of Climate Change Books, I’ve also sought out and developed a growing number of climate-themed reading lists, including an All-Time Best Climate Fiction list. You can find more of those in our Reading Lists section.
But this list is personal. These are all books that are more than just titles I heard about and decided to add to a list. These are all books that I’ve read myself and found deeply moving in some way.
I invite you to pick at least one book from this list and give it a try. If you really want to delve into the wonderful world of climate fiction, feel free to read them all!
